Dr Dave Carmody is a Fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) with a certificate in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He has previously trained at the University of Melbourne and then at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital and Eastern Health. He has a broad range of experiences in both general psychiatry, Child & Adolecent psychiatry and long-term psychotherapy. Outside of work Dr Carmody is a keen surfer and enjoys spending time in nature on Bunurong country with his family.

He provides long-term psychotherapy with an emphasis on developing self-understanding and insight, drawing on psychodyanmic principles to make links between conscious experience and the unconscious and between current and past experiences.
